Summer is in full swing and that means it's county fair time! The best part about the county fair is you will find something for everyone. Kids can enjoy the petting farms and the big kids can enjoy evening shows such as the rodeo or the monster trucks. Then there's the elephant ears and cotton candy that is every carni's dream. Nothing like a summer night at the fair!

Oakland County Fair (July 6-15)
Detroiters may choose to go to the
Oakland County Fair which is held July 6th-15th. The Oakland County Fair is located in Davisburg and has many different events to choose from. The fair will kick off on July 6th and will host fireworks at 10:00 PM. Head to their site to find event details and schedules.
St. Clair County 4-H Fair (July 16-21)
Another fair located within an hour of Detroit is the
St. Clair County 4-H Fair. The fair is held July 16-21 in Goodles. I highly recommend this fair since it is the one I've been going to since a child. You will find a splash pad for kids so bring a swimsuit and towel.
